Monday 28 March 2011: 1000 cranes
Well, we're not quite there yet! Friend Theresa told us in staff meeting that the Japanese have a tradition of folding 1000 cranes to bring good fortune following devastating events such as the recent earthquake and tsunami. This has spurred us on at school to show solidarity with the Japanese people by honouring the tradition. We have a way to go yet but they will look spectacular in our entrance hall when complete - worthy of a blip I am sure.
