The River Tyne at Corbridge.

We had a trip to Corbridge this morning. It's a beautiful village on the Tyne, that has lots of small shops, each specialising in their own chosen goods.
This bridge is reputed to have Roman foundations, as Corstopitum a Roman settlement is nearby. It was completed in 1674, and was the only surviving bridge on the Tyne during the floods of 1771.It carries single line traffic.
The water was rushing towards the bridge, and then tumbled through the arches.
