Pedal board

The last photo taken in our band rehearsal shed before the quake. In fact, this was our last rehearsal before the quake. I left my camera behind and wasn't able to retrieve it until about 6 weeks later. Jakey went through a phase of collecting different effects pedals. They're sitting on the base of a box and when we're done practising he always seals them back in the box. This routine has ensured that the pedals have survived two major earthquakes unscathedafter having speaker cabinets fall on them. The same cannot be said of the amp and cabinet in the background. In both quakes the PA speaker behind it fell and knocked it over, sending the amp flying. It survived unharmed and needed no repairs after the first quake. Not so lucky the second time.
