Carnivorous...

These are very small Sundew plants,that are growing amongst the moss and lichens,down beside the creek in the valley (Megalong)...
One thing all sundew plants have (there are about 130 species worldwide) is the gel like substance at the tip of the tentacles....This gel is sticky so that insects that fly too near,get stuck ...Then the plants can eat them.
They grow in damp areas where the water that's constantly running over and below the ground has washed the soil nutrients away....In order to get the missing nutrients,the plants have adapted and learnt to eat meat from the animal that land on them...To get the nutrients from the insects,the insects have to die on the plant and be ingested as soon as possible....

Im sure I could've been clearer with the shot,but didn't have the time factor today....Fascinating plants ....
