Saturday 2 April 2011: New Lanark World Heritage Site
We visited Grandma and Grandad this morning. Grandma was very pleased with her Mother's Day gift (a framed photo of Lucinda).
We returned home for lunch and afterwards decided to go for a drive. Destination Lanark. We went to Lanark Loch. Lucinda was asleep and it was freezing and very windy so we decided to drive on instead of braving a walk. A bit further on and we arrived at New Lanark World Heritage Site. With Lucinda still asleep we decided to leave it for another day and did not embark on the walk to the bottom. The buildings there are very impressive. It will be nice to visit there properly on a warmer day.
When we got back on our own turf we went to the garden centre. Lucinda wanted to walk around the place and explore everything. When she doesn't want to go your route she tugs her hand away and toddles off on her own little adventure. Lots of people said hello to her and she said "hiya" back. She was very pleased with herself. She was not happy about being picked up and taken back to the car - I think she would have liked to have stayed there all day!
