I love a tramp in the woods....

After reading the 233 page instruction book, I took the new toy out and about today, we went to Butterdean woods.

So I've been trying out different settings by photographing trees and flowers and our his and her walking boots...

Couple of pictures are on flickr. The daffs turned out pretty well, they were taken using all the manual settings. (however if you go looking, the birdie shots were taken with my trusty old canon and long lens, the compact's good but it's not that good... )

Anyway more experimenting to go tomorrow...
