Pen y Ghent from Moughton Nab

Lengthening evenings bring the promise of after work climbing. One of our favourite evening venues, Moughton Nab, with its expansive views across Ribblesdale to Pen y Ghent. Not that we had to squeeze in climbing around work today. I took this photograph hanging from the belay of one of the routes, the view being too good to miss from up there. As is so often the case, I couldn't quite translate the great feeling of depth and space in this landscape into a photograph, but this is one attempt, it's almost there, but somehow misses.
