Sunday 3 April 2011: Pergola Climb

"He should be praised for climbing; yet

The other man comes always from a height

And lives where praise can never get --

Beyond your sight."

- Friedrich Nietzsche

This tree used to live beside the little pergola at our front gate - but it's dead, so it doesn't any more. After cutting it back to just the trunk and a few main branches I planted a bougainvillea, which has now climbed up quite a way.

This wasn't actually taken on an iPhone - despite what I suspect the entry will say, by dint of being uploaded via the blipfoto iPhone app on my new iPad. I took it with my Lumix; this shot was manual focus, and it came out better than the couple of shots with autofocus 8)
