In Figgate Park

Courtesy of a blogging friend of Mr A, we found Figgate Park this morning. This little gem is in Portobello, and the number of times we have driven past it (on all sides) is nobody's business. While Mr A concentrated on the birdlife, I focused on the bigger picture and caught this conjunction of clouds, blue sky and trees which really appealed to me.

Anyway, we had an enjoyable wander in the sunshine, which has now been superceded a few minutes later by a shower of rain. That means the players at the Hibs/Hearts derby will be getting wet. We got caught in the cars and pedestrians arriving at Easter Road on the way back, so maybe that's only justice...

Another way to enjoy Figgate Park is to park on Duddingston Road and walk along the burn to the little loch. I think we'll do that next time, and this time perhaps during the week when it is quieter.
