Rusting slightly....

...but I'm having a wonderful birthday. We wandered around the port at Mèze, near the oyster beds on the Etang de Thau, looking at all the restaurants, found an interesting looking one and had an excellent lunch: tapas (calamares, caviare d'aubergine, rillettes de thon provençal); scallops and gambas for the main course, and tiramisu for dessert. Then home via the herb gardens at the Abbaye de Vallemagne and calling in for a drink with friends. Hardly time to get too worried about the start of the last year of a decade!

It's time now to open a bottle of Cava, so I'm told....
