My landlord encouraged me to plant whatever I wanted in the raised containers.
"Zucchini," she suggested.
I planted native grasses, drought resistant ones. Seemed prudent. She didn't like them. She suggested zucchini, again.
I resisted but then I didn't. I like zucchini. Why not zucchini?
