Don't Go Into Mr. McGregor's Garden

My recent goal in the garden has been to clear a whole quadrant free of sourgrass--I just wanted to look in one direction and not see yellow! Today we finished weeding under the pear tree and put down a nice fragrant bark mulch, opened up the beds where the dahlias are sleeping, and sorted out some of the path. It is now possible to stand on the front step, and, with judicious squinting and denial, revel in a lovely non-yellow view.
