TIERPARK SABABURG,
130 hectare large, at the foot of the Sababurg, the sleeping beauty castle in the Reinhardswald. The oldest known park for animals, founded in 1571.
I suggested yesterday we will visit it early in the morning, going by car, too far to cycle and we have only 2 bikes. And even with 3 we could not make it, cause the path goes uphill for ever.
There is a wonderful blue sky all around us as we depart at nine o'clock. (Mischa)
And walk around for 3 hours without noticing this fact. We are enthousiast about the evidently new build penguin water-bassin, the deers in enormous fields, the boars with cute little ones (almost a blip), the capicorns, and the beautiful old oaks and the chestnuts with unfolding leaves. And much and many more.
Coming back we sit at the balcony and rest, after a while the clouds hide the sun and it is mentioned that we did the right thing to go in the morning when it is still quiet and sunny.
