Saturday 16 February 2008: Portrait

I don't usually do portraits. Shooting people freaks me out. It feels intrusive, like you're capturing their soul, or taking a part of them. Its also hard to do them justice I think. My partner is a professional photographer who basically shoots people as art, and I've never been able to grasp how J captures people in motion, people in emotion. Its not my instinct as a photographer. I'm still not sure who I am as a photographer.

But this week is leading up to 100 blips and that's the time to jump into the new. This isn't me. And even though she consented to the photo, I was so shy I took it in 2 secs. Its a start.
