Friday 8 April 2011: BY THE WATER'S SIDE
It was a glorious day today and as I wasn't working I took the opportunity to venture into town to collect something. While there I took a stroll by the canal basin and found that lots of other people had been of the same mind. There was a very relaxed, happy holiday feel to the area as tourists were taking advantage of a 30 minute trip, in a canal barge, along a stretch of the Leeds/Liverpool canal, small children were feeding the ducks and everyone seemed to be either eating fish and chips outdoors or partaking of ice cream.
