Blipping Trouble

We had an eventful trip south of the Tyne this evening. Through the new Tyne Tunnel. Pictured are the new toll booths. A little way beyond this point a police car started following us - then flashing its lights - and eventually siren wailing. We thought it must be in a hurry to get past but then realised we were being pulled over!!!
'Do you realise Sir that your rear passenger is taking photographs in this restricted area?' There I am sitting in the back with my camera on my knee. The other cop was standing at the front of the car and on his radio checking the cars registration. All the while, Mum, also in the front, was in shock.
When they were satisfied that we weren't terrorists planning an attack they let us go on the understanding I deleted all the shots I'd taken. Yeah right, and miss this blip.

Reason for the trip was visit to Sunderland Empire Theatre (obeyed the photography prohibited sign) to see Claire Sweeney in Tell Me On A Sunday.
