Monday 4 April 2011: sNailed It!!

Day Three of our Lake District holiday and it rained!! We spent the day indoors reading and relaxing, which was just what we needed.

In the evening the rain stopped for a while and we nipped out to the hide on the western shore of Bassenthwaite. This Blip is of snails sheltering on the wall of the tunnel that goes under the A66, linking Powter How Wood and the lake shore. It says wet to me!!

Mission accomplished on the birding front. We saw distant views of the Ospreys on the nest. Year to date 111.
