Saturday 9 April 2011: Spring on the allotment
These lovely snowflakes were our favourites today. We spent the weekend at the allotment and were very busy, so we almost forgot to blip. No snow left!!! Wohoo!!!
Saturday morning we got loads of fresh fence material delivered by I&C and had breakfast with them in the wee allotment cottage. M spent Saturday 'renovating' the veggie fence - so now we are sure that no roe deer can break in and eat our veggies during the coming season. Z continued the "spring cleaning" of the borders. It was very windy but temperatures around +10°C, so very nice gardening weather. We heard the first wagtail - so spring is definitely here!
Just before we fell asleep we heard a sound we'd never heard at the allotment before - a frog! We could hardly believe our ears!
What a fantastic day!
