Starry Eyed Surprise

Mister Blue Sky

What can I say about today except, hey hey could this be Summer around the corner?

We went for a beach walk this morning and there were other people there too. In fact some of them were paddling in the sea and had buckets and spades with them.

We met Hazel, Graeme and Eve at the play park and had a chat with them.

Eve is soooo cute, with her bossy baby chat. New words and phrases include "impossible", 'I need to see a Doctor" and my favourite, "Auntie Neil"

It doesn't matter how many times Hazel tries to get her to say Uncle Neil, she insists on calling Mr G, Auntie Neil. Of course I'm not going to discourage her since it is so funny, and cute.

We went to Arbroath to get some groceries, I didn't really want to as it was such nice
weather, but needs must.

In the afternoon and in preparation for the better weather, the summerhouse was washed, scrubbed, hoovered and polished within an inch of it's life.

I found a string of chilli pepper lights, that Claire used to have in her room and installed them round the shelves in the summerhouse. It looks very kitch, but that's fine with me

After spending so much time cleaning the summerhouse, we decided to have our tea in there.

Afterwards, we sat on the sofa relaxing with coffees, with the chilli pepper lights on, scented candles on and the electric fire on.

Well, it is still only April.

Sun is shinin' in the sky
There ain't a cloud in sight
It's stopped rainin' ev'rybody's in a play
And don't you know
It's a beautiful new day hey,hey

Postscript. Forgot to say, the statue is of the Declaration of Arbroath 6th April 1320
