Sunday 10 April 2011: Hamster balls

We began the day by taking the launch to Keswick, going all the way round Derwentwater, which looked stunning in the glorious sunshine.

From Keswick, we walked up to Castlerigg stone circle and back. After a well-earned refreshment, the kids were all keen to try their hand at these hamster balls.

Apparently, the correct name for this is waterballing, but we thought it sounded a bit too much like a dubious interrogation technique. Whatever you call it, they all seemed to have a great time.
