Tuesday 12 April 2011: If you down into the woods today.....
You're likely to come across these. At least you will if your woods are proper, hardwood woods. These are Wood Anemone and are commonly found in the spring. With their nodding white/pink petals above green foliage they do a fine job at making me smile on my journey to and from work.
Another fine and sunny day in Edinburgh with folk at work who are making the most of it and talking about mini-expeditions to various parts of the country. It's my own turn in a couple of weeks when I pack the canoe and hiking boots for a two week trip to the Hebrides.
