Tuesday 12 April 2011: Gosh...
410/365: ... I remarked as I arrived home and found Felix sweeping up the wallpaper which had been stripped from the wall in our dining room.
*ahem*
Y'know those conversations where someone says "I'm going to strip the wallpaper in the dining room next" and the other person says, "But we have my mum coming to stay next week and I'd rather the house didn't look a mess" and the first person says "We can just close off the dining room" and the other replies "But that's not really practical"...?
We had one of those on Sunday. And now it's Tuesday... and... ermmm...
*sends speedy DIY vibes in Nick's direction*
Oh, and Felix was taking cleaning up very seriously... despite Nick asking him to stop and not to get dust everywhere. It seems that my son has inherited his father's style of listening. :o))
Anyway, this was going to be a sparkly morning photo... but I liked this one more... and anyway, random shots of morning foliage are my emergency blip standby when things are busy! It has been nice weather again today though. Really thought it would be grey and miserable, but instead - yummy blue skies and fluffy white clouds. Bit cold, but otherwise dandy.
Work was also dandy. It's a bit like being awakened to what I can do again. It's fab. Had a few good meetings... feel like I'm starting to patchwork things together in my head... and... well... yeah. All dandy. The commute still sucks and the price of the petrol is making me hyperventilate to think about it. But, you can't have everything!
It would be nice to manage to stay awake past 9pm though. I haven't quite cracked 'having a life outside work' because I'm so pooped at the mo. And I have permanent blip-guilt because after scoffing some dinner, chucking online my own blip and shoe-horning the kids into bed... I'm asleep within seconds and can't keep up with other people's journals. Aaaargh! Am sure it'll ease eventually. I hope!
PS Happy and work just didn't go together at all a few months ago
PPS Can't quite get used to this feeling!
