Wednesday 13 April 2011: Dad's Top Bird

Yellowhammer, right outside the kitchen window - the kitchen window being dirty & rained on by the time this striking bird came down, so I'm very sorry for poor quality. In fact it's the 'only' photo I took today so you all have to like it & lump it ;-)
And yes, it's my Dad's fav bird of all (mine is the skylark) & so my Dad is very VERY happy that this is in the garden! I do hear skylarks here, but my garden is not big enough for a nest, alas!
