Thursday 14 April 2011: Waiting for the strike!
A member of the Cramond Angling Club waits expectantly as his dry fly floats over a feeding brown trout. On this occasion the fish wasn't fooled. The River Almond is recovering after many years of pollution and last year was a record year for catches. This season the fishing has started well and with the warm weather anglers can be seen on the water most days. Nowadays virtually all the fish are returned.
