Thursday 14 April 2011: Quicksilver

A few days ago these leaves of Lady's Mantle weren't out yet, and now they're unfurling like fans along the border.

The fine rain of the morning was collected and displayed, and still sits there now, hours after the rain has passed.

I love the prismatic effect of the large droplet in the middle, it shows up the fanning of the leaf beautifully, and in its curl is beginning to resemble a silver snail.

beads of quicksilver ~ a harvest of april rain ~ too perfect to drink
