Friday 15 April 2011: Occitan balcony

This quite recent balcony grille incorporates the Croix du Languedoc, the emblem of Occitania which appears in gold on a red background on the Occitan flag. Many people have this in one form or another on their houses, in wrought iron or terracotta or stone, to distinguish this area from northern France.

A quick blip in a few minutes in a busy day - working and then preparing supper for friends this evening.
