Sunday 17 April 2011: Japanese maple
I'm blipping early so that there's no chance of anything more interesting hijacking the Japanese maple's limelight again!
This is our Acer palmatum deshojo in its full glory. It's the same tree that I blipped in a completely different style a few weeks ago.
With a lot of love and attention from hubby, it's come a long way since we bought it in 2005. Not the best picture but you'll get the gist of how it used to look.
Now I've found a good location to photograph the bonsai - they'll be popping up at very regular intervals! Oh, and a complete coincidence that I have two photos with reflections on the trot - I'd already decided on this composition for the red maple before I snapped the heron yesterday
