The Forty Part Motet

Dropped in to Fabrica today to listen to the Forty Part Motet. A sound installation with forty individual voices played through forty individual B&W speakers placed in clusters of five.

As you wander around the space you experience the renaissance choral piece Spem in Alium. Not the sort of music i listed to every day.. or any day.. but it does generate an emotional response and is quite hypnotic. What you hear is personal to you and not the same as anyone else in the gallery.
