The Kowai River

Willows dressed for autumn and mountains preparing for winter. The river is milky after yesterday's rain.

The gloom lifted today. There were patches of blue sky and sunshine, but the southerly wind was bitterly cold. My son described it as a sneak peek at winter. The mountains are looking very grand, but I like the rounded tops of the Big Ben Range for a change. The dark line in the centre of the shot is a pine hedge shelter belt.
