Here it is, the 'something very exciting' that I mentioned yesterday..

GAS

To most of you a GAS thing in the road is commonplace and normal. To us it's not, as the nearest gas pipeline is about 15 km away, and there's no mains gas at all in any of the villages around here. If you need gas you buy big, heavy bottles of it from the gasman who drives his lorry around the narrow streets on a Friday morning, while sounding his horn continuously. Obviously gas will be arriving here within the next goodness knows how many years, and they're putting the pipes under the road ready.

So I'm sorry if some of you are disappointed with this blip, and I've tried to make the colour a little more interesting for you, but to us it is EXCITING!
