Monday 18 April 2011: Making a rare appearance...
..in my own blip. But this was an exceptional day - the picture was taken at Corran Farm, near Clachan in Kintyre. Richard Lochhead, the Rural Affairs Secretary and I had just launched the Farming Manifesto in Tarbert and it had been endorsed by Mull farmer and former Argyll NFU Chairman Bert Leitch along with a range of other figures. So what better day to stand in the sunshine and lean over a farm gate, with wonderful West Loch Tarbert glinting in the sunshine behind us.
