Wednesday 20 April 2011: Plenty Of Sand, But No Beach
Another cracking day on patch. I saw my first Blackcap of the year in Avenue Wood, had a bit of banter at the hide, then strolled in the sun down the canal.
This was just one of a huge swarm of Sand martins that were catching flies over the River Aire. You can see the distance I took this from illustrated on my Flickr photostream.
Quick blip tonight. We are having an "emergency barbeque" to help make up for Rebecca working through todays sunshine.
