Backpacks

Today it had to be backpacks. The children in my nursery have been learning about the Mary's Meals charity and life in Malawi. As part of this they had been donating lots of things to fill backpacks which Mary's Meals take to under-developed or war-torn countries to enable children to go to school.

We collected lots of things over the past few months and organised them all into back packs suitable for boys and girls of different ages. Today the van from Mary's Meals came to collect the backpacks beginning their journey from our nursery to a school in Africa. Every child had a backpack to put on the van - we donated 101!!

On days like this I am so proud of my nursery, the children, the families and the wonderful staff who bring the enthusiasm and commitment to make great things like this happen.
