Thursday 21 April 2011: Howdi Partner

Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

Lucinda and I pottered around the house and garden for most of the morning before taking a trip to the nurse. I left in plenty of time so that Lucinda could walk some of the way. It's really quite difficult trying to keep tabs on baby on reins and push the buggy - both wanting to go their separate ways. I was glad when Lucinda had walked enough that I could pop her into the buggy without a fight. On the way back from the surgery - 5 minutes from the house - Lucinda fell asleep at 12:15 and slept through lunch to 1:20. I like the way she's totally chilled out here, a very cool customer. So a late lunch it was before Grannie and Grandad paid us a visit with doggie.

Grannie, Lucinda, doggie and I went for a walk down the woods. Doggie had a dip in the river. Lucinda decided walking wasn't fun and I had to carry her for quite some distance before my arms were killing me and Grannie took over. Once we got back into our street Lucinda's legs made a miraculous recovery and off she sped down the street!

Grandad looked after Lucinda whilst Grannie and I went to the supermarket for dinner supplies. I left Lucinda with a bowl full of red grapes and white leggings on. Let's just say the leggings weren't white when I got back. In fact by the end of the day they were what I'd describe as absolutely mockit. Dirt, grass stains and red grape.

So Grannie and Grandad stayed for dinner. Lucinda was very entertaining. She squealed with laughter and had a great time dancing in her high chair and then once she'd had enough of the confinement she danced around the chair. Once they left she was out in the garden again, she wants to be outdoors all the time, it's great.
