Follow the Martian

Had a walkabout at lunchtime and spotted some students testing out a Martian rover they had built and were testing. The student and his rover seen here in this article are part of our Department of Earth & Space Science & Engineering at York University. They get better each year. In 2009, the team won the international competition in Utah. We placed second in 2010. York has graduated one astronaut, Steve McLean, a space shuttle veteran. He and I are both recipients of the Murray G. Ross Award (top graduating undergraduate) although a couple of decades apart.
