Friday 22 April 2011: Matakitaki Valley
I was in need of a blip and Sebastian (the Grandson of yesterday's blip) was asleep and buried under his blankets so couldn't be the subject. That meant I had to head out for a photo opportunity. I drove about 2km from my house to photograph the countryside. This is taken virtually across the road from Monday's blip - but no snow now.
The sun was getting lower so the light had already left the valley floor but was still catching the hills to the west. The late afternoon light has also shown up the beginnings rain clouds - looks like it could be a wet night.
