The Edge of the Wold

Easter Fayre

On Good Friday, several Morris troupes perform on the small square in front of the church. This shows the trombone player from the John O'Gaunt Morrismen from Lancaster and behind him, two members of the Stone the Crows Border Morris from Leyland. The Stone the Crows are particularly unusual for their black outfits, blackened faces, and hats with crow feathers.

There's a photo of the accordion player from Stone the Crows here - worth a look if only for the mirror sunglasses.

A good day with the nephews, not so riotous, but good fun nevertheless.
