Small Copper

Was lying on the sun-lounger when this miniature butterfly suddenly landed on the forget-me-nots. It really is tiny - about half the size of a small tortoiseshell. Took this picture straight away, and was glad I did, as it didn't stop long enough for me to get any closer.

Been for my 20-minute recuperative walk along a local lane and saw another orange-tip butterfly - my second this week, but way too fast and high a flyer for me to snap it. Can't believe this wonderful weather - could be June, it's so warm and sunny. And at Easter weekend, too!

Happy St George's Day, everyone!
