Saturday 23 April 2011: New Arrival

Today was Central Florida Earth Day which provided me with lots of Blip opportunities.

Vegitarianism, Health, Animal Welfare were just a few of the themes and they had three stages with excellent musicians. I took lots of pictures, ate numerous free food samples, and also got my spine and vertibrae analysed (aparantly I have some pinched nerves in my neck!).

However for my Blip I went back to the first picture of the day. Taken less than 4 hours after it hatched at around 7am local time, 12 noon U.K. time. As well as the proud parents it was being guarded by a local resident who take it in turns. The attention is due to the fact that there are many predators out there, and it is quite rare being a Black-necked swan.
