Garden Warbler

Not the best picture I've ever taken, but this was my first Garden Warbler of the year, near Wharncliffe Farm.

Garden Warblers' drabness is an ID feature in itself, as they have practically no distinguishing features except faint grey patches on the side of their necks and a general chunkiness compared to other warblers. Their song is also very similar to that of a Blackcap, except it sounds "bubblier", and tends to be delivered in longer bursts and with less variance. It often proves to be a bit of an ID challenge, as they lurk in the middle of bushes!
