Home dialysis

Although it's sad about the state of her kidneys, having a machine in her bedroom allowing mum to have dialysis overnight is a great thing for her and a cost saving for the NHS, although it requires a lot of infrastructure.

After the machine, there are bags of fluid and fluid lines to be delivered, all stored in boxes and left in the spare room.

Then there is Curtis. Reading politics at Salford University, he works part time for Baxters who supply the equipment. He or one of his colleagues have to come every day to replace the fluid bags, maintain the machine and make sure mum is OK.
