Origami butterfly

From a flat square of paper its life begins:
The origami butterfly folds its wings.
From lifeless paper, flat and floppy,
Now, proudly, it sits by a yellow Welsh poppy.

This is my butterfly hat-trick (yesterday, the Speckled Brown; the day before, the Small Copper). Naturalists, or origami fans, may be interested to know that the flowers on which the Origami butterfly lays its eggs are not Welsh poppies, but this purple flower!

I did spot two other butterflies today: an orange tip (for the third time this week) and a cabbage white. Neither was still enough for a photo, which is just as well, seeing that my batteries gave out when I did try and snap them. Tomorrow is another day!
