Quince.

This is a dark side of the garden, that doesn't get very much sun, but this Quince always brightens it up in spring. The colour is amazing, going from deep orange to paler peach as the flowers get older.However the stems have thorns, which can take you by surprise if you try to pick them.
The rhodoendron blossoms next, so that brings more colour for the corner.
