Fun and Frolics

We all went to the new preschool in Ekaiweni (Musilu Kadambo) to be exact, early morning only to find that few had yet arrived except a few little ones. Of course this quickly changed when the news got our.
In fifteen minutes the place was a hive of activity, with everyone doing their bit to make it a memorable day.
They had a toys corner, a reading corner, a traditional area and writing corner, and where would you be without a building space and a shop.
Colin was pictured here later, involved in all the action in the playground.
This little place is within 10 kilometres of the city, yet the majority of the little ones were afraid of us, not having seen white faces before or at least not up close. The poverty too was obvious and the serious lack of education, or interest in education locally. This group of caregivers have a passion to succeed, saying that all their older children pass in their exams is dance!
We made a little start and with Casca?s help the situation will improve.
