Alternative way of cooling...

The main cooling system of unit EC 20 is empty because the unit is in preservation.
But one part of the unit is still in use when emergency power is needed: the 140 MegaWatts gasturbine.
But it's cooled by means of demineralized water (kind of closed cirquit) and that in turn has to be cooled too. Before it was cooled by means of a system, branched off from the main system but now that system is dry we had to come up with something different. The alternative would not have been my choice but this costs less; a few hundred meters of large firehoses is used to bring water from the cooling system of unit EC 4 to EC 20 and when is has been lead through the heatexchangers it flows over the floor in the cellar... After that some bilgepumps pump it in the drainsystem and back into the sea.
One needs boots to walk through the cellar...

Here in LARGE....

Here is another view from a different angle, it was difficult to choose...
