Tuesday 26 April 2011: Escape Route
Back to work - at least there are only three days before the next weekend holiday extravaganza - and then I remembered that I had to attend a course. Usually these are OK: you might learn a tiny something, you get lunch provided, and provided you can avoid the postprandial shut-eye, you can coast to an early exit.
Strewth. Today's wasn't one of those. It was populated by eager careerists keen to say their piece. Continuous Improvement! Get your five lenses on it! What will everyone take away from today? What's the first thing you're going to do when you're back in the Office? Round the table!
Eventually I escaped blinking into the daylight, like a Taliban who had just stumbled out a tunnel in Kandahar. I'm sure if those boys were Scots they would have been easily rounded up again, as they'd have got as far as the first boozer down the road.
