Larnach's Cupola

Today we did a bus trip around Dunedin stopping off at various places so the girls from out of Dunedin could catch up on the changes that have taken place here since our last reunion ten years ago.

Lunch was at Glenfalloch on the Peninsula. We dined and supped well and then meandered around the gardens enjoying the fresh air and the autumnal display. On down the peninsula stopping at Broad Bay China shop and Happy Hens before climbing over the hills to Larnach Castle where a devonshire tea was waiting for us.

A little drizzle of rain made most of the girls scurry inside and do a tour of the castle but I chose to stay outside and spent a lovely hour discovering the extensive gardens including a beautiful cupola whose roof is today's blip

Home exhausted from all the eating and laughing and talking. Fortunately able to have a lie in tomorrow before meeting at the hospital chapel for a memorial service for three of our intake who died whilst we were still trainees.
