Thursday 21 April 2011: Wind vein
Dad made this weather vein when I was little. He's a retired mechanical engineer and metal has always been his preferred material to work with.
It bounces around a fair bit in a good wind sensitive to the slightest change in pressure. It's weathered the years, has changed addresses a few times and tonight is still in the calm of a beautiful evening.
I'm away up north tomorrow with an old friend. Can't wait! Tonight I'm sorting a menu and partly preparing meals to make life easier for Mum and Dad.
