Friday 29 April 2011: Epiphyllum
Also known as orchid cacti.
Last year when we visited up north, I brought back a few cuttings taken from an old mother plant. Although it was due to flower, it was not yet into the actual flowering phase.
It is said that new cuttings will not easily flower unless it was taken during the time the mother plant was in flower ..
I am glad to see that almost all of the cuttings' tips have little petals, soon to open and delight with a lovely wax like flower.
