Loch o' the Lowes

Drove north today, via Fife, to the Loch o' the Lowes; a wonderful hide which had the great good luck to have a pair of ospreys choose a tree about 100 m away to nest in.
This is the male osprey (Pandion haliaetus); just after we arrived, he swapped incubating duties with Lady, and went on a wee hunt, splashing into the water right in front of a very excited bunch of birdwatchers.

The female is one of the oldest ospreys ever recorded at about 26, she laid her 60th egg this year!
